What We Do

New Leaf Initiative is a nonprofit organization that provides the first step for people to make positive radical change in the world.

We believe that all of us play an important role in transitioning our society towards a sustainable future. To bring about this necessary change, we act as an integrator of ideas, challenges, resources, people and sustainability strategy. We have two key program areas, an incubator and consulting division.

Alone, there is nothing overly special about an incubator or consulting group. But the power of New Leaf is that we merge the two. Most incubators excel at focusing on innovation, while the majority of consulting groups have a strong focus on strategy.

At New Leaf, we simply swap them.

Our incubator enhances the innovation capabilities of the consulting branch, while our consulting efforts introduce sustainability strategy into all of our incubator projects. This happens through the power of our ally community – an exciting group of individuals from around the world with a wide background of skills and expertise. We believe change starts with the individual, New Leaf simply helps bring those individuals together.

A portion of our allies are trained strategic sustainability consultants who serve as mentors on all of our incubator projects, in addition to running our consulting division.

To support the allies in their work, we have also launched the New Leaf Marketplace, an online store for tools and resources that engage the public on the concept of strategic sustainability. Learn more about each of these program areas by clicking below.

Incubator

The Incubator is a platform for identifying individual’s passions and scaling those ideas into active projects with the help of our ally community. Through the process, we show how sustainability applies to each person’s specific interest by placing them into international and local situations where they can directly apply sustainability thinking.

Consulting

The Consulting division advises organizations, businesses and municipalities on how sustainability thinking can be used as a strategic process for addressing their immediate and future opportunities and challenges. We pair your group with experienced sustainability strategists from a variety of industries and fields.

Marketplace

The Marketplace is an online store for sharing and purchasing resources that bring sustainability to life. We focus on designing engaging products that address collaboration, creativity and strategic thinking. We like to think of ourselves as a group of designers working to re-energize the strategic sustainability movement.
