Community

The foundation of New Leaf is built upon community.

We can’t help but think we have one of the coolest jobs in the world. We simply build a family of passionate people who dream about making the communities around them a better place. And as a family, we strive to help each other succeed in seeing their dreams turn into reality. All of us involved in the community take a stand to make the world a better place than how we left it, but recognize that we won’t be able to do it on our own.

The community at New Leaf is composed of two main categories:

New Leaf Allies

These are individuals who have skills and passions that are put to use on our design teams. For example, when a project arises which needs a website, we call on those allies who are skilled at web design, graphic design, and communications.

In addition to serving on our design teams, our allies also contribute ideas and resources to the broader community. Allies are the people who come up with the majority of our project ideas. When they see a problem in society, rather than walk by in frustration not knowing how to help, our allies pitch that problem to the New Leaf community which begins assembling design teams to develop a solution.

Partner Network

Our partners include businesses, departments and organizations who support New Leaf and contribute their organizational services to projects that emerge at New Leaf. Many of the groups we have worked with in the past often decide to join as a partner of New Leaf to stay connected with the community. In doing so, they have access to all of our resources and expertise and stay up to date with the latest ideas brewing in The Lab.
