The general gist of the idea…

To create the Pioneers of Reconnection website. This website will highlight projects, people, and creative ways to reconnect with the natural world, one’s community, and oneself. This website will be an example of Biomimicry and it will ideally have zero right angles. A key difference between a man-made environment and a natural environment is that humans use right angles, whereas a forest uses waves, spirals, circles, etc. The Pioneers of Reconnection website will resonate with our desire to mesh with the natural world, and will give inspiring examples of many strategies to accomplish this.

The idea will help…

People from all over the world find innovative ways to reconnect with nature on a personal, community, and global level. Through the framework of success stories, new pioneers will be able to see the paths that others are walking and be inspired to venture out of their comfort zone and explore new practices. The website will draw connections between many already existing projects and display them in creative ways using Biomimicry. For example using a radial pattern to show connections between projects allows one to envision the system in a non-linear fashion.
